8-Light Tiered Black & Brass Chandelier

The 8-Light Tiered Black & Brass Chandelier from Solae Design scatters eight tapered shades across three levels on a branching black and brass frame. It reads more like a mobile than a conventional chandelier. Nothing is symmetrical, and that is deliberate — the eye keeps travelling through the fixture instead of stopping at a single point, which is what gives it presence in a tall room.

Dark piping runs along each shade edge, drawing a clean line against the white fabric and tying back to the black metalwork above. Because the shades sit at eight different heights, the light arrives in layers rather than as one flat wash, filling vertical space in a way that a single-tier fixture simply cannot manage on its own. Fit dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer to soften it for evening use.

At 29.1 inches wide and 39.4 inches tall this needs room to breathe. It is built for a double-height foyer, an open stairwell, a great room with exposed beams, or a long dining table where the tiers have space to spread above the seated eyeline. The 19.7 inch chain can be trimmed to set the drop, and the fixture is rated for sloped and cathedral ceilings as well as flat ones.
