Round Alabaster Shade Brass Sconce

The Round Alabaster Shade Brass Sconce from Solae Design pairs a brass body with a round alabaster shade, and does very little else. That restraint is the appeal: at 7.1 inches across and 11 inches tall it is a small, quiet fixture designed to repeat along a wall rather than to be looked at individually as a feature piece.

Alabaster is cut thin enough to transmit light, so the whole shade glows softly from within and the veining shows through from the inside. Stone diffuses completely, which means no glare even at close range beside a mirror or a bed. It takes a G9 lamp and dims with a compatible bulb and TRIAC dimmer switch.

Well suited to a hallway run, a bedside pair, a bathroom vanity, an entryway accent or a living room wall that already has enough overhead light. Finished in brass with a white alabaster shade. Hardwired to a standard single-gang wall box with all mounting hardware included and a licensed electrician recommended for the install. Each shade is cut from natural stone, so the veining differs on every single piece and a run of sconces down a hallway will show a different pattern at each position.
