Coupe Opal Dish Sconce

Two simple forms, doing two different jobs. A shallow antique brass dish hangs off a curved arm and bounces light back onto the wall, while a frosted opal orb sits beneath it and diffuses the bulb into an even wash. The Coupe Opal Dish Sconce ends up lighting the wall and the room at once, and the reflected warmth off the brass is most of its character.

Three scales are offered. A single head suits bedside reading or an accent position beside a doorway; the two and three head bars run horizontally and are sized for above-mirror vanities, gallery walls and longer hallway stretches. There is one material combination and no finish to choose, which keeps specification simple: hand finished antique brass and frosted opal glass, patinating gently with use.

E12 candelabra sockets mean bulb choice sets the mood here more than the fixture does. Warm white at low wattage keeps the opal soft and the brass glowing; anything cooler sharpens the contrast and cools the metal down. Bulbs are not included. The sconce dims cleanly given dimmable bulbs and a compatible switch. The fixture is hardwired to a standard wall junction box, all mounting hardware is supplied, and a licensed electrician is recommended for the installation.
