Verdal Frosted Leaf Chandelier

The Verdal Frosted Leaf Chandelier from Solae Design arranges hand-shaped frosted glass leaves around a warm gold frame, each one angled slightly differently so the fixture catches light from several directions at once. Switched off, it holds its own as a piece of botanical sculpture rather than sitting on the ceiling as dead weight waiting for evening to arrive.

Frosting is the reason the light behaves so gently. The etched surface removes filament glare entirely and turns each leaf into its own soft source, so the overall effect is diffused and harmonious rather than sparkling and busy. Two configurations are offered, three heads or six, in clear or blush pink glass, both built on the same 35.4 inch gold frame so the footprint stays consistent either way.

Sized for a dining table, a round entry hall, or a living room with height to spare above the seating. Each glass leaf is formed by hand and slight variation in curve and tone is characteristic of the material rather than a defect. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician following local codes. Dust the leaves with a soft dry cloth and avoid solvents entirely. Occasional re-levelling of individual leaves after installation is normal and easily done by hand.
