Juniper Arc Amber Globe Floor Lamp

The Juniper Arc Amber Globe Floor Lamp from Solae Design is drawn as a single gesture: a weighted sage-green base, a slender brown metal arm that rises and curves overhead, and one hand-blown amber glass sphere held at the end of it. Nothing else. There is no shade, no switch housing on the stem, and no visible bracing anywhere on the piece.

The arc is what makes it useful. It delivers light over a sofa or a chair without a table underneath, which is the problem most floor lamps cannot solve, and the weighted base keeps the cantilever stable. The amber glass warms the light noticeably on its way through, closer to late-afternoon sun than to a bulb, and the sage-and-walnut palette keeps the whole thing quiet despite the scale of the reach.

Wants a room with space to breathe: reaching over a sofa, beside a lounge chair, or anchoring a corner of an open-plan living room where its full curve can be read.
