Description
The Green Ceramic Crystal Fringe Sconce from Solae Design combines pleated fabric shades trimmed with gold fringe, intricately patterned green ceramic accents and a curving brass frame, finished with a cascade of multi-coloured crystal prisms and an amethyst pendant. It is a genuinely eclectic composition and every material in it is doing visible work.
The ceramic is what separates this from other crystal sconces in the range. Its patterning gives the fixture a solid, matte counterweight to all the reflective glass above and below, so the piece has somewhere for the eye to rest rather than sparkling uniformly across its whole surface.
At 13.8 inches across and 14.2 inches tall it stays compact for the amount of detail it carries. Suited to a luxury powder room vanity, flanking a formal dining room buffet, or elevating an upscale entryway. It takes E12 or E14 candelabra lamps and dims with a compatible bulb and TRIAC dimmer switch. Hardwired to a standard single-gang wall box with all mounting hardware included. The ceramic accents are each individually glazed by hand, so the exact pattern and the depth of the green colour varies slightly from one fixture to the next across any single production run.
