The Eclipse Opal Disc Pendant from Solae Design joins two opalescent discs into a single elliptical form, and joins them well enough that the seam disappears entirely once the fixture is lit. What is left is a clean geometric shape with no visible hardware and no hot spot, hung from a slim black canopy that keeps the whole assembly looking weightless against the ceiling.

The diffusion is the reason to choose it. Opal spreads the source evenly across the full surface of both discs, so the light arrives as a broad, soft field rather than a point.
