Cordless Solar Patio Floor Lantern

• Short: Dia 11.8" x H 18.9" / Dia 30 cm x H 48 cm
• Medium: Dia 11.8" x H 29.5" / Dia 30 cm x H 75 cm
• Tall: Dia 11.8" x H 39.4" / Dia 30 cm x H 100 cm
• Choosing a height: the shortest sits low beside seating and planters; the middle height reads as a proper floor lamp alongside an outdoor sofa or dining chair; the tallest works as a standing marker at the corner of a deck or the turn of a path. All three share the same 11.8" footprint, so they group cleanly without crowding
• Solar siting: site the lamp where the solar panel receives 4–6 hours of direct, unshaded sun — overhanging eaves and dense planting are the usual culprits behind a short run time
• Spacing: along a path or deck edge, set units 6–10 ft apart for continuous light with no dark gaps between pools
• Setback: keep 12–18" back from the walking edge so the lamp clears foot traffic and mower lines
• Surface: stands free on a level, firm surface — no hardwiring, conduit or outdoor outlet is required

The Cordless Solar Patio Floor Lantern from Solae Design brings the shape of a classic glass lantern to a fixture that needs no wiring at all. A slim black frame holds a frosted white diffuser that spreads warm light evenly rather than glaring from a single point, and the whole lamp is powered by an integrated solar panel that charges through the day and switches itself on at dusk.

Three heights let the same design do different jobs in the same garden. The shortest sits low beside seating and planters. The middle height reads as a proper floor lamp alongside an outdoor sofa or dining chair. The tallest works as a standing marker at the corner of a deck or the turn of a path, where it doubles as wayfinding after dark. All three share the same 11.8 inch footprint, so they group cleanly without crowding.

Construction is built for weather rather than shelter. The housing carries an IP65 rating, so rain, dust and garden sprinklers are not a concern, though the lamp should never be immersed. A full charge takes four to six hours of direct sun and returns roughly eight to ten hours of light, which comfortably covers an evening. Because there is no cable and no transformer, you can move it seasonally without calling anyone in.
