Aviary Lantern Pendant

A chiselled iron canopy drops on a short chain to a cylindrical frame holding three candelabra lamps. Birds perch along the upper rim and leaf motifs trace the lower one, so the formality of the Aviary Lantern Pendant keeps getting undercut by something softer. It works as a centrepiece over a dining table, in a foyer, or above an entryway where a flush fitting would feel like a missed opportunity.

Two finishes are chosen at checkout. Gold foil is the radiant, unambiguously baroque option, and it comes alive over a set table through the winter entertaining season. Aged bronze is the restrained alternative, with near-black recesses and copper catching on the raised detail, reading antique rather than gilded. Both sit over the same chiselled iron frame and are finished by hand, so no two are identical.

The 39.4 inch chain shortens by removing links, giving a maximum drop of roughly 55 inches, enough to hang low over a table or long in a stairwell. Three E12 or E14 candelabra bulbs are required and not included; warm white keeps the metalwork warm rather than brassy. The pendant is hardwired to a standard round ceiling box, all hardware is included, and a licensed electrician is recommended.
