Pebble Crystal Accent Lamp

The Pebble Crystal Accent Lamp from Solae Design is small enough to hold and heavy enough to mean it. Clear crystal glass is shaped into a smooth oval stone on a chrome base, and the whole object is only 6.3 inches across, a lamp that behaves more like a paperweight that happens to glow than a conventional light fitting does.

Solid crystal is what gives the light its character. Rather than passing through a shade, the light refracts inside the glass and pools at the base, producing a low, intimate halo instead of task illumination. Three light colours are offered, warm white, blue-violet and sunset red, which change the piece entirely: warm for a desk or nightstand, and the coloured options for an evening shelf or a bar cart.

Intended as accent lighting and best layered with an ambient or task source elsewhere in the same room rather than relied on alone for a working space. The crystal shows fingerprints readily; wipe with a soft lint-free cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Plug configurations for US, UK, AU and EU are available at checkout, so it travels between markets without adapters. Best kept away from the edges of shelves, as the solid crystal body is heavy.
