Vika Waffle Knit Throw

The Vika Waffle Knit Throw from Solae Design is knitted in a chunky waffle stitch and finished with a tassel edge. The embossed grid of the waffle gives it structure — it holds a fold and drapes in defined planes rather than pooling flat, which is why it still looks deliberate after being thrown over the end of a bed.

The stitch is functional as well as visual. Waffle knit traps a layer of air within each cell, so the throw insulates well for its weight and stays breathable rather than sealing heat in the way a dense woven blanket does. That makes it usable across a wider range of temperatures than the chunky look suggests. It is offered in a range of plain colours, with no pattern to date it against changing furniture.

Sized for a bed end, a sofa back, or an armchair. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle inside a mesh bag to protect the tassels from tangling, and dry it flat rather than tumbling — heat will shrink the stitch and tighten the waffle permanently, and the loft will not come back. Do not bleach or wring. Loose ends can be worked back into the knit rather than cut, which stops the stitch unravelling further.
