The Slim Alabaster Bar Wall Sconce in Gold from Solae Design is a narrow vertical bar of genuine alabaster set in a slim gold metal frame. At 2.4 inches wide and 12.6 inches tall it is deliberately understated, projecting only 3.1 inches from the wall, which lets it sit in circulation spaces where a deeper fixture would catch a shoulder.

Alabaster is cut thin enough to pass light, so the whole face of the bar glows rather than throwing a beam. Veining shows through from the inside and varies across every piece, which means a mounted pair will complement each other rather than match. The result is a warm, diffuse wash with no visible source and no glare at eye level.

Well suited to flanking a living room fireplace, lighting a dark hallway corridor, framing a powder room vanity, or anchoring a bedside in a primary suite.
