The Baroque Brass Fluted Glass Wall Sconce from Solae Design mounts two fluted glass cylinders on an intricately detailed brass backplate. The backplate carries genuine relief work rather than a stamped pattern, and it is what gives the fixture its character when the lamps are off and the glass reads as clear rather than glowing.
Fluting on the cylinders refracts light into fine vertical bands as it leaves the shade, producing a warm ambient glow with visible structure instead of a flat wash. The two heads sit at equal height, so a pair mounted either side of a mirror will light a face evenly without the side shadow a single sconce leaves behind.
At 11 inches across and 15.7 inches tall it suits a powder room vanity, a hallway run, or accent positions framing a bedroom headboard or dining room mirror. It takes E12 or E14 candelabra lamps and dims with a compatible bulb and TRIAC dimmer. Hardwired to a standard single-gang wall box with all mounting hardware included. A licensed electrician is recommended for the installation itself, and the fixture takes widely available E12 or E14 candelabra lamps so that replacements stay simple to source anywhere at short notice.
