Cava Travertine Linear Pendant

The Cava Travertine Linear Pendant from Solae Design is carved from real Italian travertine rather than finished to resemble it. The slim drum profile keeps the stone shallow enough to read its warm cream tones and natural pitting, and an integrated LED lights it from below in a single soft continuous band.

Travertine is a quarried sedimentary stone, so no two pendants match: the pore structure and the depth of the cream vary piece to piece, and that variation is the material working exactly as intended. Three configurations are offered, a single 7.9 inch disc, a 21.7 inch two-head bar, and a 39.4 inch three-head run, with a choice of fixed warm light or Triac warm dimming that drops colour temperature as you dim.

Best hung over a kitchen island, a dining table, or a long console where the horizontal run has room to breathe. Suspension height should be set so the stone sits above eye level when seated. Dust with a soft dry cloth and avoid acidic cleaners, which etch travertine. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician following local codes. The standard fixed-warm version is not compatible with wall dimmer switches, so specify the Triac option if dimming is required.
