The Staggered Alabaster Plug-in Sconce from Solae Design sets natural alabaster cylinders at offset heights on a slim brass arm. The stagger is what stops it reading as a plain two-light bar: the shades sit at different levels, so the fixture has vertical movement and casts light across two planes rather than one flat line along the wall.

Each cylinder measures 2.4 inches across and 5.9 inches tall, cut thin enough for the stone to transmit light and show its veining from within. It takes G9 lamps and dims with a compatible bulb and in-line dimmer. Three body finishes are offered in brass, black and nickel to follow existing hardware in the room.

Single-head at 14.2 inches and two-head at 17.7 inches are available. Because it plugs in with a 59 inch cord, there is no hardwiring, no electrician and nothing at risk in a rental. Suited to a reading nook, a living room accent wall, an entryway console or a bedside where surface space is limited. Plan outlet placement before mounting. Each alabaster cylinder is cut from a different block of natural stone, so the veining differs across the two heads and no two fixtures will ever be quite identical to one another.
