Its sand-frosted glass shade is rippled rather than smooth, so light leaves the fixture already diffused, with no glare, no hard edges and no bright spot burned into the middle of the room. The brushed gold frame reads warm against a white ceiling and still holds its own against darker paint.

Because it mounts flush, it suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel intrusive: bedrooms with lower ceilings, hallways, walk-in closets, kitchens, and bathrooms where headroom matters.
