Sedge Fringed Knit Throw

The Sedge Fringed Knit Throw from Solae Design is a lightweight knitted throw finished with a knotted tassel fringe along both short edges. It is built for warmth without weight — closer to a large shawl than a blanket in the hand, and light enough to keep on a sofa through the warmer months without it feeling like clutter.

The knit is open enough to breathe, which is what makes it work in mild weather where a heavier throw would be too much. Over a sofa arm or the end of a bed it adds a layer that can be pulled up on a cool evening and pushed aside without overheating, and it packs down small enough to keep in a car or take travelling. Offered in soft plaid and plain colourways.

Suited to a sofa, a reading chair, or the end of a bed through spring and summer. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle inside a mesh bag so the fringe does not tangle around itself, and dry flat away from direct heat. Comb the fringe straight with your fingers while it is still damp and it will dry without kinks. It is not intended as a winter bed blanket, where the open knit loses heat too quickly to be useful.
