The Sabine Alabaster Column Pendant from Solae Design is a single tapered column of hand-cut alabaster suspended from a slim metal stem. The stone is left unadorned — no metal band, no visible fixing at the base — so the lit column reads as one continuous piece from the canopy down. It is a simple form that depends entirely on the quality of the material for its effect.

Alabaster is the reason the fixture works. Dense enough to hold light and translucent enough to pass it, the column glows from within with a warm, low-glare quality that no manufactured diffuser reproduces convincingly. Because the stone is quarried rather than made, each column carries its own veining and its own pattern of brighter and denser areas when lit. Two sizes are offered, each available with a standard warm source or TRIAC warm dimming for rooms where the level needs to change.

Suited to hanging in a run over a kitchen island, singly above a bedside, or in a pair flanking a dining table. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a licensed electrician following local codes.
