The Solstice Frosted Glass Flush Mount from Solae Design sits close to the ceiling and softens everything it touches. Its sand-frosted glass shade is rippled rather than smooth, so light leaves the fixture already diffused, with no glare, no hard edges and no bright spot burned into the middle of the room. The brushed gold frame reads warm against a white ceiling and still holds its own against darker paint.

Because it mounts flush, it suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel intrusive: bedrooms with lower ceilings, hallways, walk-in closets, kitchens, and bathrooms where headroom matters. Four diameters are offered, from a compact 7.9 inches for a small entry through to a 19.7 inch version that can light an open living area on its own. Warm Light and TRIAC warm-dimming options let you choose between a fixed glow and a fixture that dims down through a compatible wall dimmer.

Installation is straightforward on a standard junction box, and the integrated LED module runs cool enough to sit close to a low ceiling. Hardwiring should be carried out by a qualified electrician in line with local electrical codes. The glass ring lifts away for occasional cleaning, and a dry microfibre cloth is usually all it needs.
