The Pleated Fluted Shade Brass Wall Sconce from Solae Design sets a hand-pleated fabric shade with a fluted edge on a clean brass body. The pleating is functional as much as decorative: it breaks the light into fine vertical bands as it passes through the fabric, so the glow arrives textured and soft rather than flat. The scalloped edge catches a little extra light along its rim.

At 9.1 inches square and 10.6 inches tall the proportions are generous without being heavy, and the fabric keeps the whole fixture visually light on the wall. Because the shade diffuses fully there is no glare at face height, which is what makes it genuinely usable beside a mirror rather than purely ornamental. Fit a dimmable lamp and compatible dimmer for evening use.

Four finishes are offered, brass, black, nickel and gold leaf, so it can follow existing tapware or door hardware in the room.
