The Malachite Sphere Brass Wall Sconce from Solae Design pairs a tailored pleated fabric shade with an elegant U-shaped brass arm, anchored by a single sphere of malachite green. The stone sits at the turn of the arm where it catches the light, and it is the only note of colour on an otherwise restrained fixture, which is precisely why it registers so strongly.

The pleated shade diffuses the lamp into a soft, banded glow with no glare at eye level. At 17.7 inches tall with a 9.8 inch projection it has real presence on a wall without dominating it, and the vertical proportion suits the spaces between windows, doors and joinery where a wider fixture would not fit comfortably.

Well suited to a bedroom either side of a headboard, flanking a mantel in a den, or bringing warmth to a dining room or living space that already has enough overhead light.
