The Noor Persian Medallion Area Rug from Solae Design lays an intricate old-world medallion over a deep black ground, so the pattern reads as quiet texture rather than noise. It borrows the density and symmetry of traditional Persian weaving, then strips the colour back to a near-monochrome palette that sits comfortably in a modern room. The effect is a rug with real detail that still lets the rest of the furniture speak.

The pile is woven from soft flannel, dense enough to hold its shape under the weight of a sofa or a bed frame and soft enough to sit on comfortably. A non-slip backing keeps the rug flat on tile, timber and polished concrete without rucking at the corners. Because the surface is short and tightly packed, dust lifts out with a normal vacuum rather than settling into the base of the pile.

Sizes run from a small 80 x 120 cm mat up to a 200 x 400 cm floor covering, which makes it equally at home anchoring a living room seating arrangement or running the full length of a bed.
