The Nimbus Silk Pendant Light from Solae Design wraps a slim black metal frame in a lightweight mulberry silk diffuser, producing a shade that appears to float rather than hang. The silk spreads light into an even, cloud-like wash with no visible bulb and no hard edge to the glow, which is what makes the fixture feel so calm in a busy room.

Eight single sizes run from 15.7 inches to 47.2 inches, and two cluster configurations let you scale the same design across a long dining table, a kitchen island, a living room, an entryway or a hotel lobby. Smaller sizes work as a soft counterpoint in a bedroom; the largest sizes and clusters are built to hold their own in double-height spaces.
