The Alabaster Orb & Brass Dome Wall Sconce from Solae Design pairs a hand-carved translucent orb with a brass dome shade above it. The dome caps the fixture and directs light downward while the orb below glows softly in its own right, so you get a directed beam and a warm point of light from a single compact fitting.
The orb is offered in alabaster or glass. Alabaster carries natural veining and a denser, more mineral glow; glass reads cleaner and brighter. Both diffuse fully, so neither produces glare at face height beside a mirror. At 10 inches across and 10.2 inches tall the proportions stay tight against the wall.
Three body finishes are offered in antique brass, black and nickel, so the fixture can follow existing hardware. Well suited to a bedside vignette, a reading nook, or mounted as a pair flanking a bathroom vanity or fireplace mantel. It takes a G9 lamp, is dimmable with a compatible dimmer, and is hardwired to a standard single-gang wall box. All mounting hardware is included and a licensed electrician is recommended for fitting, and the alabaster version carries unique natural veining on every single piece, so a matched pair will always differ slightly.
