Tall Brass & Alabaster Column Wall Sconce

The Tall Brass & Alabaster Column Wall Sconce from Solae Design stands 21.3 inches high, and the height is doing real work here. A slim brass column carries the alabaster shade well above eye level, so light lands on the wall above and below rather than travelling straight into the room. The result is atmosphere without brightness, which is exactly what a circulation space usually needs from a fixture.

That makes it a good fit for spaces where a conventional sconce would be too direct: a corridor you pass through rather than sit in, a stairwell, a dining wall behind seated guests, or either side of a headboard. Natural alabaster diffuses the lamp completely, so even at close range there is no visible source and no hard edge anywhere in the light it throws.

The two-head version spans 15.4 inches and covers a wider stretch of wall from a single junction box, which saves rewiring on a long hallway. Both versions offer a square or round canopy so the fixture can match existing hardware in the room. The compact 4.7 inch backplate keeps the wall detail minimal. Finished in brass with a white alabaster shade. Each shade carries its own natural veining, so no two fixtures are ever identical.
