Halda Linen-Weave Table Runner

The Halda Linen-Weave Table Runner from Solae Design is a plain woven linen-polyester blend, finished without pattern or border so the weave itself carries the texture. It is intended to sit under a centrepiece rather than compete with one, and to work as well on a bare table as it does under a full setting.

The blend is the practical part. Linen supplies the slubbed, slightly irregular surface that reads as natural rather than printed; the polyester content keeps it from creasing hard and makes it water-resistant, so spills bead briefly before soaking rather than staining on contact. That combination is what allows a linen look on a table that gets daily use with children, wine or hot dishes on it.

Works down the length of a dining table, across a sideboard, or cut short as individual placemats. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang or tumble dry low; skip the fabric softener, which coats the fibres and reduces the water resistance over repeated washes. A warm iron on the reverse will settle any fold lines from storage without flattening the weave. Sizes are cut to standard table lengths. Store the runner rolled rather than folded, which avoids setting a permanent crease down the centre over time.
