Alabaster & Antique Brass Vanity Wall Sconce

The Alabaster & Antique Brass Vanity Wall Sconce from Solae Design is built around stone that glows from the inside. Quarried alabaster is cut thin enough to pass light, so what reaches the room is warm, low in contrast and completely free of hotspots — closer to candlelight than to a bulb. A slim brass backplate and stem hold the shade clear of the wall, letting the natural veining read from any angle in the room.

Two shade shapes are offered. The cylinder gives a crisper, more architectural line that suits contemporary and transitional rooms; the sphere reads softer and rounder, and pairs well with organic modern and Japandi schemes. Both diffuse evenly enough to sit at eye level beside a mirror without glare, which is what makes this a genuinely usable bathroom vanity light rather than a decorative fixture.

Order a single head for a bedside table or a compact powder room, or the two-head version for flanking a vanity mirror where you need light on both sides of the face. Mount a matching pair either side of a fireplace or along a hallway to build rhythm across a longer wall. Available in antique brass, black and nickel. Every shade carries its own veining, so no two are identical.
