Aurea Double Disc Pendant

The Aurea Double Disc Pendant from Solae Design stacks two softly rounded shades on a slender gold frame, balancing weight against air in a way that reads more like jewellery than lighting. The upper disc shields the source from view at standing height while the lower one catches and returns light upward, so the fixture reads as lit throughout rather than glowing only at the bottom.

Warm light gathers in the gap between the two discs and spills downward onto the surface below, which is precisely the behaviour wanted above a dining table. It puts light on the food and the table without flooding the rest of the room, leaving the corners to be handled by lamps and keeping the atmosphere in the evening low and deliberate.

Four combinations are available across two diameters, 40 cm and 60 cm, and two drop heights of 60 cm and 70 cm. That lets the fixture be scaled to the room and the ceiling rather than the other way round, which matters for a piece intended to be the focal point of the space it hangs in.
