Cove Antiqued Brass Curved Sconce

The Cove Antiqued Brass Curved Sconce from Solae Design bends a single sheet of metal into a shallow scoop that curls forward from the wall and returns beneath itself. There is no separate shade — the curve is both the structure and the reflector, and the source is concealed within it, which is what allows the fixture to stay this simple.

Because the metal is solid and the opening faces downward, no bulb is visible from any normal viewing angle and light arrives as a soft wash down the wall rather than out into the room. That makes it comfortable to sit beside and useful in places where glare is a problem — next to a bed, along a corridor, or above a piece of art you want lit without a hotspot. At 15.9″ tall and projecting 9.4″ it has enough presence to work alone on a narrow wall.

Two finishes are offered: antiqued brass, which reads warm and slightly weathered, and black, which recedes into a dark wall and leaves only the light visible. Wipe with a soft dry cloth; the antiqued finish should never be polished, as this strips the patina and cannot be reversed. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician following local codes.
