Description
The Alabaster Linear Island Pendant Light from Solae Design runs two natural alabaster shades along a horizontal brass bar. Covering the length of an island with a single linear fixture rather than two separate pendants keeps the ceiling visually clear, and it avoids the alignment problem that separate pendants always create over a long surface.
Alabaster transmits light, so each shade glows from within and shows its own veining rather than reading as a flat white cylinder. The light lands evenly on the counter below without glare across the room. It takes standard E26 or E27 lamps and dims with a compatible bulb and TRIAC dimmer switch.
Three lengths are offered at 40.1, 47.2 and 55.1 inches, so the fixture can be matched to the run of the surface beneath it. The three-segment suspension rod fine-tunes the drop and the fixture is rated for sloped ceilings. Each shade is cut from a different block of natural stone, so the pair will always show two related but distinct patterns.
