There is no shade and no diffuser — the form is the fixture, and the light is shaped entirely by the open end of the tube. It is as much a graphic element on a wall as it is a source of light.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBecause the cylinder is closed along its sides, the beam is tight and directional, washing the wall above and below the fixture in two defined bands rather than spilling into the room. Mounted in a row along a corridor it produces a repeating pattern of light on the wall itself.
